The actual cost to educate each child is $7900. Families that choose not to participate in Volunteer and Fundraising Requirements pay the actual cost per pupil. However, the Parish subsidizes our school annually for a significant amount of funding. Please refer to the third column in the chart above for the tuition rates for 2009-2010. A meeting with Fr. Fangmeyer is required for additional assistance from the parish. We require a non-refundable registration fee per family of $150 due with the registration form.
Tuition assistance is available from the Archdiocese of Washington. Assistance is based on a moderate standard of living. Every SMS family is required to seek this assistance by filing a Private School Aid Service (PSAS) application. Families who file the application will qualify for the published tuition rate in the above table. Families who fail to submit the PSAS application will be required to pay the "actual cost" of educating students.
